Moling Services

Gas Right has been offering Moling Services for over 15 years and we use this 'Trenchless Technology' to install new water pipes or communications cables. Our customers range from homeowners requiring new or replacement water pipes where the existing supply is leaking or has poor flow, through to builders, requiring larger installations of pipes, services and ducts.

We are impact moling specialists and do a great deal of domestic water supply pipe replacement (many older iron and lead water supply pipes are now in desperate need of replacement). We also install electric cables, drain and sewer pipes and other underground ductwork using our moling equipment.

How Moling Works

Our ability to install services with no surface disruption other than at entry and exit pits, is a major advantage over open cut excavation methods, eliminating the time and cost of surface reinstatement and inconvenience to the general public and traffic.

Lead Water Main Replacement

Lead water mains were commonly installed into properties constructed before 1970 and there can be many disadvantages (including some that are health related) for properties served with lead water pipes. Replacing the service main (the water main from the boundary to the property) can eliminate all these disadvantages.
